  1. Schengen Visa Application Form:

  • Print it out and ensure it is dated and signed by the applicant.

  1. Valid Travel Document (Passport):
  • Original passport issued within the last 10 years.

  • Must be valid for at least 3 months after the planned journey.

  • Contains at least two blank pages.

  • If you have an expired passport with valid or expired visa stickers, include it as well.

  1. Proof of UK Residence:
  • Printed proof of immigration status with a share code from GOV.UK (opens in new tab).

  • Proof that you have at least one month of residency in the UK remaining after your planned exit from the Schengen area.

  1. Proof of Employment/Student/Sponsorship/Retired/Unemployment:
  • Employed: A recent, signed letter from your employer, including the name, date of issue, address, contact details, position, and salary of the employee, along with pay slips for the last three months.

  • Self-Employed: A letter from your accountant, banker, or solicitor confirming your business in the UK, along with a self-assessment form.

  • Student: A recent letter from your educational institution confirming your enrollment status.

  1. Proof of Sufficient Funds:
  • Original UK bank statements with your name showing movements in the last three months. All pages must be stamped and signed by the bank.

  • Credit card statement indicating the cardholder’s name and monthly limit.

  • Minimum funds: €70 per day

  1. Proof of Travel Itinerary:
  • If visiting several countries, provide a travel schedule that includes all the countries you plan to visit.

Transport Reservations:

  • Proof of reserved return ticket(s) or onward travel (if not returning to the UK), such as flight bookings or train itineraries.
  1. Proof of Accommodation:
  • Booking confirmation must include full names of persons staying (eg. booking made for 2 must include 2 names in the booking confirmation). Booking confirmation without a name is not valid.
  1. Travel Health Insurance: Must show the applicant’s name, have coverage of at least €30,000, be valid in all Schengen countries, and cover the entire period of intended stay in the Schengen area. The insurance must be obtained from a company based in the United Kingdom or a Member State.

  2. Minors (Under 18 Years):

  • Birth certificate showing both parents’ names.

  • If traveling alone or with only one parent: Original passports of both parents or certified copies, written consent from the non-traveling parent, and a British school certificate.

  • In the case of sole custody: Provide one of the following documents:

  • Birth certificate mentioning one parent.

  • Death certificate of the absent parent.

  • Court ruling indicating sole custody.

  1. Business Applications:
  • Invitation from a firm or an authority in Estonia to attend meetings, conferences, or proof of registration for events connected with trade, industry or work; other documents that show the existence of trade relations or relations for work purposes; or entry tickets or registration for fairs and congresses.

When to Apply for an Estonia Schengen Visa

Submit your application at least 15 days before your intended travel date and no earlier than 6 months before departure. Early application helps avoid delays and ensures sufficient time for processing.


Processing Times

  • The minimum processing time for a visa application is 15 calendar days from the day the application reaches the Mission. Applicants are advised to leave enough time between the appointment date and travel date for the Mission to process their visa application.

  • No guarantees can be given on the visa application’s return date as delays may occur.

  • The Mission may request additional information/documents or invite applicants for an interview during the visa application process, which may cause delays in the visa processing timeline.
